So my wife totaled her truck Saturday morning. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1427655346.952709.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1427655372.031340.jpg I've never had to deal with insurance before so while I'm spending all this lovely time in the hospital. Just thought I'd ask if anyone has any experience dealing with insurance and getting your performance stuff back, got several high dollar items id like to salvage.

You can get paid for the truck, then buy it back from them. Pull off what you want and junk the rest to the scrap yard.

Hope she is OK, looks like a rough one.

I had mine totaled in july. Geico would only give me about 40-50 percent for my mod parts if I could provide reciepts, dates installed, and miles on parts. It was a royal chicken cluster. They kept trying to lowball me. Eventually I dropped the deal because I didnt have all the reciepts, just about half. I hope your wife is OK.

18 broken bones including back, ribs and pelvis and a Collapsed lung. She's stable just really sore. She's super sore but in high spirits.

When I totaled my truck I got the insurance to give me their price then I made them raise it. Then I told them I was gonna buy it back, couldn't lower their price then, bought the truck back pulled what I wanted off and sold the rest of the truck for a profit!!

Ethan, if you buy it back and only take the performance stuff off, I'd like to ask Marla if I could get some interior parts that are broken on my truck. I know it's a bad time to ask for anything so I didn't ask her or want to bring it up just yet. Please let me know, if not I understand to, thanks

We were on the way to return a customers truck so I was following her and a dodge came up to her and kept passing and blowing smoke on her. And if you all knew my wife you would know no one is gunna show her up. Especially not the queen lol. So she gave it some pedal and the roads were slick, she got loose and lost control. Hit embankment, rolled 4 times, got ejected. This whole time I'm watching and run up to the truck (which was still running) she wasn't in it so I was just sure she was dead and squished underneath it. But thank the lord her guardian angel was watching over her and I found her 75 ft away. She said her back hurt as i found her. So I then thought oh no she's paralyzed but then she moved feet and hands so I just kept her flat on her back and supported her neck I'll first responders showed up. She's lucky none the less.

Thank God. Wish her a full recovery from all of us. Hope you are holding up ok, too. :)

The only time I ever dealt with insurance on a totalled car was my son's Grand Prix last year. Our insurance (Nationwide) gave us a fair offer to start which paid for Kole to get a comparable replacement (actually found a better car), so we were happy with that. Wasnt going to fight over a 10-y/o car anyway.
