I did mine last night, used red loctite and had a friend spin the harmonic balancer, while I lined it up, and had another friend underneath who tightened the bolts to *&!^!* tight. (He's not the largest guy in the world either.. )

Why are you guys so worried about the bolts loosening up? Torque is only 44 ft lbs on them. Like S Phinney, I also used long extensions and torqued to 60 ft lbs when i did mine.

How bout a 3/8 impact with a wobble socket
I wonder where you got that idea. :D

Since Damian already mentioned it, that's what I use. I can't tell you how many torque converter bolts I've installed like that, but I've never had one come lose. I use a medium depth 15 mm impact wobble socket with a 3/8 drive Snap On air impact. I run the hose up over the frame rail and point the handle up. I don't have to remove the inner fender liner or anything. I just pull the starter and loosen the exhaust from the down pipe.

Sorry man, I just bought my truck from a buddy of mine. He had a shop install a ATS tranny about a year ago. And it came apart one me. So my advice would be drive for a little while and check bolts again.
