Never thought I would get to see the destruction with my own eyes. It truly is awesome. I've seen what they can do in pictures, wipe out entire towns that are basically subdevelopments and packed closely, But to see its path through an entire section of a state that virtually has no tornado danger is humbling. If you live in the Northeast and want to help with the clean up efforts, just drive to Monson and walk around and ask to help, nobody would stop you or not appreciate it.

I was watching the weather warnings as the storms came across Mass, went from thunderstorm warnings to tornado watches & warnings. I never thought they would amount to anything being that Mass never sees severe weather never mine tornadoes.

Being I own a residential tree service I considered making the drive over with the Bucket truck, log truck, chipper, skidsteer, and stump grinder but after evaluating the situation I simply do not have the time, being were booked solid locally for the next 5-6 weeks and I would be losing alot of future (Local) clients aswell as pi$$ing off a bunch current clients not meeting my/there planned dates of work/service... On a positive note the death toll was extremely low considering the amount of destruction over there its simply amazing more people did not lose there lifes...

There were too many flybynight tree guys out there, still are, I was on a roof cutting a pine top and the neighbor almost lost his perfectly good house to a dumbass that didn't cut a freakin wedge. The only useful equipment right now is a logtruck and a tractor/skidsteer with clamp. Lots of heavy lifting to be done. Luckily we have that and not many other small companies do.

Be safe and keep up the good work Tim! :thumb: We don't get them often like that up here fortunately. This one was just short of the E4 in Worcester as far as destruction and length of the damage path. Fortunately this one falls far short of the Worcester death toll (if I remember correctly). Can't imagine what it must be like to see it all in person.

Hey when are we putting your turbos on? I'm going to be down at camp Edwards till next weekend. Unfortunately without a pov.

I wont have them for at least a cpl of weeks yet. May be the end of June. You will be the first person I notify once they get here :D:D. Can you still get around without your own vehicle or you have to rely on kindness of others? (assuming that's what you meant by pov)

I have to get over to your other thread...last I read...there were issues with the Mitusa system.

All I've got is a hmmv. Wicked slow, lol. Ya the mitusa wasn't sealing, I put used Kennedy pumps on, got it to build pressure fine, but it throws a timing code preventing it from running. I got new sensors to rule that put but didn't have time to install them. It'll happen when i get back.

You installing them or having somebody do it?

Tim and I are going to tackle it...hopefully. Well actually....Tim! lol

I don't have the tools or abilities to attempt it on my own. Something came up personally, so I had to spend the $$ I set aside to have Scott do the install. Tim offered to help.

Here's hoping the sensors get it done! Will be a fun ride. :D

I hear ya on the fly by night TREE GUY's  We had to contend with a whole mess of them a couple years back when we had the ice storms here locally.. Everyone and there brother with a saw is a tree guy in a crisis..;) I personally have been in the Arborist/Tree Removal field full time for the past 14 years and we specialize in large technical tree removal. That is one of many attributes that seperates us from most of the other so called "TREE GUYS" in the area.. To add to your Equipment list above, Our Crane and whole tree chipper makes short work of anything under 21" Diameter, Anything bigger either gets loaded in the knuckle boom AKA Log Truck or set in 28' lengths on the gooseneck with the crane.. Plenty of ways to skin a cat but I can assure you my company is far from a fly by night operation;) Stay safe man

Me and the guys I work for would probably drool over some of your equipment. We hire out Arbor Crane from ct a lot, don't have one of our own. Just a vermeer 1800, 2 chip trucks, an older international 60' bucket, the international rear-mount w/ 20ft deck, and the kubota 4330 with skidder and clamp. We were looking at the radio controlled track chippers the other day online, thinking of how much easier one wouldve been to get into these tight yards.
