It's really SAD that I don't feel BAD. At least for ME you SEE. As I have just BEGUN the FUN. You see, he hasn't stopped his hating nor should I. Wait a minute, gotta make that rhyme... Oh well, great topic this was ORIGINALLY. Smart guys are worthless when they only give themselves credit and bash and crawl over others to enhance themselves.

Josh, I missed the " everyone bash steve and get it over with " thread. Sorry but whomever has been affected still has there " thrills, giggles and feeling guilty " time.

Sorry that you don't feel bad Mike, but the fact is you have embarrassed yourself once more. You should probably remove your head from your ass, put the Dunce cap back on, face the corner of the wall and i'll call you when you're welcome back:D

I know nobody asked my opinion, but since it hasn't stopped anyone else yet, I'm gonna share. I think Steve is a smart guy, and I think he has a lot of good ideas. I also believe that he thinks very highly of himself, and he has a problem having normal discussions. That isn't a problem exclusive to him though. To varying degrees, everyone suffers the same thing from time to time. I don't really care, but I don't see the point of constantly posting internet hate about anyone. I'm sure there's more I would normally say, but it's late and I'm tired.

No one has to ask your opinion Josh,Its your and your allowed to voice it.

But this is not about STEVE it is about what STEVE said;)

Do you agree with what he said? ANd how he worded it?

To be honest, its late and I dont care:hug::D

No need to feel sorry or apologize for anything. I really don't care about the hate posts because I can easily ignore them; I just don't understand them.

Simon, I really don't even remember what the discussion was about. What I do remember is Steve said there was some sort of table that prevented something from doing something, but it isn't available in EFILive. What I do believe is that there are tables in the ECM that EFI has not located or mapped. Whether the one he pointed out is really a problem, I don't know. It was forever ago, and it really doesn't matter to me.

Another "goof-off" thread goes tech ... ;)

EFILive, HPTuners, LS1Edit all have something in common; they do not edit everything in the ECM.

Nor would you want to.

What we do know, is the EFILive has enough tables in it to git-er-done.

I've yet to see any proof that EFILive is at a disadvantage to those who use hex-editors to tune with. It's FUEL/TIMING/BOOST, no matter which method you use to get there.

Is EFILive 100% capable? No. But it sure does have more goodies than the other options out there. At first, there was a lot of debate whether EFILive would catch up with "canned" tunes written with a hex editor, because of the missing tables. I don't think anyone today (well except one guy) believes EFILive in the right hands cannot match or surpass the best of the canned tunes. Especially when dealing with unique setups.

IMO, EFI has already amply proved itself in this regard. (ok, back to my hole)

I never thought you did. You wrote, "It's really SAD that I don't feel BAD." That's why I stated there was no need for any remorse or anything. I know I sound like a broken record, but I really don't care one way or another.

I agree, Pat, but sometimes it would be nice to have access to some of those "hidden" tables. There have been times I have had to work around problems rather than fix them. Not that it is a problem per-say; just sometimes it would be nice to do it right.

Email EFI with the solution to the problem. Hype with " Hidden " information is just that and indicates misleading/withholding. If it's hidden, it's known about and able to be included in release for the solution. I bet it's more along the lines of unknown or not available or simply a guess.

I wonder if some of the issues we have are related to fixing our screw ups rather than fixing the initial problem. You know, fixing the many symptoms of a problem.

My reply was to the above. I remember this release and some other claimed problems but most seemed to be smoothed with existing tables when all tables were used as intended. Just as you say.

The table was b0747 IIRC

I have yet to see a defuel and not be able to fix it with the tables we allready have.

Man you have a good memory. Remember one of the ways we use to deal with defuel? We went around it with percentages. We up'd TBIQ when we only had to understand TLIQ.... Took the EFI folks poking us to realize there were more than one torque pid's to exploit. Those were the days. How do I miss them.... :D

I see you are still at it

Josh, you have no idea what it's like for FRIENDS to give you hell. Nick is A+ and I certainly enjoy his entertainment. When you get a sense of humor and are not so ANAL, come back in for a good time.

But then again, this could be your humor. If so, accept my apology.

:D
