A base model 2WD RCLB is under 6000 to begin with. But we did a fiberglass front clip, front bumper, doors, bedsides, and tailgate skin. The framework to hold it all is 1x1 thin wall aluminum square tubing. It has a 5 gallon fuel cell at the rear of the truck. Battery is at the rear. Full HVAC delete. Light wheels and tires, only had two leaf springs per side, coil overs up front. Still does have a full interior except door panels - 2 stock seats, vinyl floor with insulation, headliner, and all. We have not cut any holes in the cab shell or frame, still has a glass rear window and windshield.

We are switching over to a Strange 9" rear, just swapped the 38 lb optima for a 12 lb lithium ion battery with almost double the amprerage, deleted the intercooler. May buy a set of dimple dies and put some holes in cab shell for better ventilation. I'm sure with those changes and gutting the interior and installing one race seat we would be under 4K.

Not cheap in the least. But we were having issues with a brand new 800 CCA, 1000 CA battery not wanting to start the truck unless it just came off a slow charge. Already have 2/0 gauge welding cable from the battery up to the starter and 2/0 ground from the battery to the frame and the frame to the engine. So we started looking at putting a second battery at the rear - but adding another 40 lbs to a race truck is not ideal, so I looked at other options.
The lithium battery will put out full amperage until it is completely dead, so it should no longer be an issue, and it weighs 12 lbs.

Do you want this counted as a LB7, LLY, or Other/Combo (where I have it now)? And are these M&H Cheater Slicks?
