I personally think he would never want the outcome to be what it is, but it sure looks like he was pissed and acted reckless?

The kid ran way far out into the track. He wasn't just standing by his car. Either way im sure tony didnt mean it but its still gonna mess him up for a long time.

i know kevin, he lives 20 mins north of me and we have shared a few beers together, i honestly think it was just an accident. not much visibility at that track and i would have to assume tony was paying attention to other things, whos next to him and was probably looking in the car trying to see if the guy who crashed was moving and alright.

im sure it was an accident. both drivers were in the wrong, but tony should not have gotten that close. nobody will ever know if it was really an accident or not, tony is quite the hot head.

The dumbass kid was bounding back and forth side to side to try and stay in front of Stewart and stop him. Those cars don't turn on dirt unless they are on the throttle. So tony had to get in it to gain enough traction to swerve but didn't quite make it.

Bottom line, that kid would be alive and well had he exited his car and moved to the top of the track. Like he was supposed to.

Exactly. People on other forums talking about this drives me nuts. They act like these cars turn the same way a civic does on dry pavement.

Yup. Try steering a drift car when you aren't under power. Youll kiss the wall in a hurry.

I agree. His hot headedness got the best of him. Will Tony be thought of differently? Dunno, he has always had an attitude problem with Nascar, so that really doesn't help.

IMHO, to me it's 50/50. The kid was in the wrong for doing what he did, especially getting out of his car, but to me it's also Tonys fault for hitting the kid and killing him. Tony wont be racing at Watkins Glenn.

You can't say tony hit him when the kid literally ran right in front of him. I would say it was an accident on Tony's part but that kid was definitely in the wrong the second he got out of his car

You are right, but it will be hard for people, and Tony to fend himself in court. Not everyone knows how those cars are setup up unfortunately.

Everyone knows if someone is involved in a vehicular related murder, it is always a tough outcome.

He will not go to court, it was a track accident and not on a city street.

Well someone will sue...

Far as the rules are at my track which is the same as that track. The guy signed a waiver saying he will abide by all track rules, he got out of the car so therefore he broke the rule.

But who knows people will sue for anything these days bit that doesn't mean they will win.

its only a big deal because its Tony.. If it wasn't Tony it wouldn't of made it out of ny state on the news. So Tony beeing as famous as he is, will hurt him in the long run since this will be all over the united states.
and yes he had a.hot head, but still has a big heart for kid drivers and would never kill someone that he wasn't even fighting with or knew.

let someone sit in one of those race cars with a helmet, at night with racing dust n mud on there lense and see a person wearing black with black helmet.

Nobodies fault but the kids anger getting out and pointing fingers thinkin his rowdy Busch. Not to mention you gotta floor it to turn with the suspension, you got that big ass roof spoiler thing on the right side blocking alot of sight. Sad, but an accident. Something that coulda been avoided if someone stayed in their vehicle.

Very sad deal! I think they are both at fault and it was a accident. This might really take a toll on Tony emotionally and ruine his career. :(
