He's a shitbag that was looking to get his ass beat, but Tony held his cool.......A few of the other guys wouldn't have :box:

If that pull was here, Tony's run would of been an automatic DQ. If that red flag goes up, you'd better stop.

I don't know the circumstance in this situation, just saying...

(circumstance) One ass hole

X2! No excuse for his actions.

So the tech official should just be ignored if he's an "asshole"???

It looks to me like they weren't running a "floating finish", and when he hit the 300' mark he flagged him. Most "occasional" pullers don't understand the need to play by the rules and think that they are either dumb, or that they are above them.

I don't care if the flag guy was an asshole. He was the official at the event, and Tony B should have known better. :thumb:

That was a nice pull...but maybe pullin ain't for me cause if some douche touched my f'n truck and opened the door to talk shit they'd have to shoot me to get me off him...and if Flag Boy didn't wave the flag like a faggot Tony would have stopped...

it does help if the flag man is actually out in front of the truck.

if if any asshole ever came over and smacked the door of my truck after i was stopped, you better belive the main event will start then and there!

that is civil..........for me.

a pulling org. should try to find a flag man who won't throw a temper tantrum when things don't go his way. there is no need to be as confrontational as that flagger was other than to pick a fight.

ok, basically what happened is that the flagger was an NTPA flagger who stayed behind, after the NTPA pulls, to flag for the "local" truck pull.......all the local trucks were pulling as if it were a "floating finish" even though alot were not even close to 300', Tony pulled just the same and went 330'......the flagger thought he should have stopped after 300' and Tony thought he was allowed to pull until the sled stopped him........there weren't really clear rules at the pull, it was pretty much for fun and bragging rights. this was part of the problem, everyone should have been on the same page as far as the rules go and I'm sure this wouldn't have happened........THIS DOES NOT justify smacking a flag on someones door though, I would have still been pissed and ready to fight if I was Tony......

Exactly! There is no reason any official should ever hit a competitor's truck with anything.

I agree with the above, the flagman should have never touched the driver or his truck, but that doesn't discount that Tony was in the wrong. Just like any other sport, the officials are always right, (or at least have the final word). If he throws the red flag, YOU MUST STOP! Tony could of prevented all this by simply following the rules.

Yes you should follow the rules, but officials and competitors should be on the same page. Especially if it's as simple as stating if the finish is floating or not. In this case it would seem to me they were running a floating finish, but somehow the flagman wasn't aware of that n

That BS. Anybody here ever been burned by a flag guy? I have. Tony was on it about 2.5 seconds after the red. Big freaking deal. No right to touch the truck at all! Chew Tony's ass but the flag guy was way out of line. Or was it a friendly deal?
