I got the "you love that truck more than me" routine. I just acted like she wasn't talking and ignored her completely. I think that fixed the issue......

I do get the occasional 'look' when I reach over to turn up the power a little in traffic. I'm not sure, but I think the look is becoming a grin.

ha i'm still one of the luckiest guys on the board not only does my girl love trucks too but encourages me to work on mine and hers just put a pyrometer and downpipe/muffler delete on hers. GOTTA LOVE IT!!! i mean her

I think TIM Z can back me up on this one - Kelly and I drove 4 hours to Charlotte to meet him, then she sat with me while I spent about 2 hours teaching him an "EFI Live 101" class, the next day she walked around the swap meet at Lowes Motor Speedway with me all day, then she drove home that night alone while I drove a customer from that area's truck back to the shop for some work. She's supportive of my hobby and now the business, she thinks the license plate "OTHR GRL" is fitting, and on top of all that she buys me awesome stuff for the truck - the Cheetah, the headers, the dual CP3 kit, and the pile of parts from TacoJedBob.

She wants to start racing my truck this summer and after we buy a house she wants her own Duramax street/strip truck.

My wife goes through stages. She likes the fast part and the tunning part, but gets a little worried when I start talking big money parts. She likes the fact its faster than all my firends trucks and she even likes to smoke some a- holes out sometimes.
