Need some input here.

I know 315.70R17 BFG ATs and 33x12.5 STSs are the two top tires for pulling.

I was going to run the STSs but with the motor build being put off till next year i dont think I will have enough power to turn them.

All of our tracks are hard clay. And most of them have a pretty good bite. My BFGs this year were near bald in the rear an 70% in front and hooked up fine for what they were. They hooked up enough that at a number of pulls I didnt spin out, whcih wouldve been tranny related as it was a stocker.

Should I just get another set of BFGs.

ive also heard some people running half wore mud terrains??

Right now Im leaning towards going back to another set of BFGs. They faired well for me this past season.

Our tracks around here are about the same. If I was looking for a strictly pulling tire, based on the results I have seen, I would go with the sts's. If they were a street/pulling tire I would go with the bfg's.

With the trans you shouldn't have an issue spinning the sts's. If you find you do have a problem turning them you could always raise the pressure.
