I have an 08 with the tire pressure sensor system on factory PYO`s. I also have another set of PYO`s with like new tires on them but they do not have the sensors. Would using the non sensor rims on the truck screw up the truck pressure system at all? Thanks

It's pretty easy to swap the sensors. I'm not sure how much a tire shop would charge you to do it. I'd do it just so the light would stay off.
Tpms is controlled by the same module that does the keyless entry and remote start so I doubt there is a fuse for just that.
Do you just not have the sensors on the truck? Or are they not adjusted for lower pressure that you run?
I was told you can adjust them for the tire pressures you run, but that there is a range, and the light will come on if tire pressure is too high also. Say you set it to 55psi....then want to pull a camper and bump it to 80, it will like set off a warning. IDK just asking if someone know forsure.
It is adjustable with a tech II. And it will give you a warning if your pressure goes too high but it is just a chime and message on the DIC, it only turns the light on if the pressure gets too low. The warnings are at about 10 psi below the set pressure and 20 over. Something like that.
Mine are set to 45psi. Light never comes on unless below that. I have them at 70 sometimes in rear and nothing shows up.

Anyone have a spare TPM sensor? I wonder if I take it apart if I can modify it to read pressure incorrectly and send signal saying they have enough air lol.

I think they are a nice feture and with a tec 2 it so easy to adjust them might as well use them. the Problem with modifing one is they would still need to go in the rim becuase if they dont move for a while they go dormit and shut off. I guess you could get in your truck and shake four modded sensors every morning LOL
most TPMS will interchange into other wheels..i would just switch them over to the new wheels and forget about it!

Can anyone get me these sensors cheap, because they are annoying and the stock wheels are not available and I imagine the sensors are expensive from GM.
