Point is, you can't say a 8.0 in the 1/8 is gunna put you at xx.xx in the 1/4. Calculators can't make up for variables

I think most importantly, I wouldn't call an 8.0 slow, and there are very few stock transmission trucks that come anywhere near that ET.

No prob. Shouldn't matter. They index the same and the bar will slide in either side

What about the tension on the torsion bars with lift keys? It seems my old lb7 with wore out torsion bars hardly rises when I launch. Brian we had a convo about this a couple weeks ago. Would wore out bars help with lifting? Or even lowing keys? My lilys bars are still in good shape and front end will lift pretty good as the bars are still doing there job.. trying to hold the front end up which it will take advantage when weight transfers on a launch. But worn bars wont pop up as fast when weight transfers. Idk I was just debating on swapping my worn bars from my lb7 into my llys for the track to see if that would help. I know shocks would help but that's just something I been thinking about lately. Just like a coil spring. James what's your though I know you've messed with a lot more suspension parts and setups then most people.

A lower spring rate will result in a greater change in front end height because it takes less weight transfer to get it to come up the same amount. However, if you are starting at a significantly lower height, it may not raise high enough to make it a problem. A lower starting height could also put more weight on the front end from the start, making it more difficult to weight transfer in the first place. Another thing you need to consider is if the worn out torsion bars are lower because they are losing spring rate or because they have less internal preload for lack of a better term.

So your saying worn bars will or may cause the front end to lift more Josh? I figured if a spring was weak it wouldn't take advantage as a strong spring would when weight leaves its tension. So therefore worn bars wouldnt have the force to raise the front of the truck when the weight transfer to the rear on the initial launch. I understand what your saying about starting at a lower starting height. Just from past experience withdiffernt setups I've noticed my truck with lift keys lowered all the way down rose higher on launches then with stock keys. Note both were at the same height. And my lb7 with worn bars hardly has any lift at all on launches. I may be wrong on all that though. That's why I'm asking questions and getting others opinions on this subject as unlike to learn.
