With a six inch lift, I'm needing to cut off approx. 1 inch of my PPE tie rod sleeves to get it aligned. Has anyone else had this problem?

Sounds like you need some shims for the front end to get it back towards factory specs or might want to consider going with new whole tie rods...

I have a 6" lift with PPE sleeves. Didn't have to change a thing after installing besides an alignment.

Never heard of such a thing either. My buddies have lifts and sleeves, our alignment guy has never told any of us that.

Mine was the same way when I had the cognito 7-9 kit, not enough room to fit the sleeve on the tierod. I ended up getting shitty fabtech tie rods and sold the PPE ones. No reason you can't cut them down though, unless you plan to reuse them with a different lift setup or plan to sell..

I planned on cutting them but wanting to see if this was a common problem or if there is more I should be looking at.

I think it has a lot to do with the lift kit used as far as where they put the outer tie rod pivot point on the spindle, and how far articulated the front end is, that determines where the tie rods have to be roughly adjusted for proper alignment.
