Ticking noise

Truck had 187k on it. Started and pulled my trailer no issues this morning. About 300 miles later there is a ticking noise on medium to hard acceleration. No sound at idle or light acceleration. Please tell me is nothing serious.

Also I just put half quart of 2 cycle in the tank for the first time since I've owned it since I heard it was recommended to help with lubrication.

And also will not tick when parked and I rev it up

Yep prob exhaust, it has pressure also when under load

Regular carburated 2 cycle oil is not good for injectors, you need to use a fuel injected 2 cycle oil TC-W3, lots of guys on DieselPlace use a Walmart Supertech brand.

So just get under my truck and feel for a leak is probably the best way huh.

No look for black gonna be on your manifolds likely if its tickin probably, or could possibly be up pipes or turbo gaskets but def not after turbo

Ok. Nothing to pricey to fix right? And that's most likely it somebody told me it could be lifter sleeves

It's an exhaust leak, probably at up pipe to manifold connection...

Any noticeable power loss? Sounds strange but hard to tell from a video.

No power lose. Still runs like a raped ape.
