Just sold my 2006 and am now in the market for a new Duramax. I've been looking at a 2015 3500HD single wheel crew. Just want everyone's opinion on these trucks and that motor. Thanks in advance.

I think the 2015.5 is when they redid the interior and the build quality is supposed to be better, even back to the 2003-2006 levels of interior quality/longevity (though time will be required to tell).

I'm pretty sure I couldn't go back to a gas truck after having a diesel this long.
Get a 16. They have the digital steer assist, newer tow mirrors, updated software, different trim pieces everywhere, different head lights, wireless charging, different (better) cooled seats (no vents in back), painted xm antenna, better backup camera, 4g hotspot, better tuning and tcm shift strategy. I swear my 16 would smoke my early 15, it uses less def, regens less and has zero dead pedal compared to my 15. Basically, GM perfected the LML in 16...

Egr cooler and get cooler coolant plumbing is different also. Injector return lines are also different. Nothing major though.
Personally I like the 3 bolt flange downpipe. Should've changed my lml to it when I replaced the motor.
2015 2500 HD Duramax
I have 63000 on mine and it is still stock. No real problems to speak of. I had a crazy thing regarding the DEF happen. I got a code that was p 21 dd I think. From what I could find out on here, People were into limp mode and all kinds of problems with the DEF thing. All I had was a check engine light but the truck ran just fine. In my research I saw where some could not get their truck to remote start. I decided to see if mine would remote start. I tried it and it started, and the check engine light went out. Go figure.

Just acquired my sons truck. Been driving occasionally for towing my boat since originally purchased in 2015. I'm very impressed with the power, and comfort of the truck. Truck has been trouble free since purchased. I would recommend a 2015...Good luck with your purchase
