I ran a lot of n20 back in the day when EFI wasnt available, so custom tuning was out of the question. I ran it with a ppe hot stacked with an edge, i ran a lot of 12.0s and a lot just messing around on the street too The truck was 500hp+ from 15k miles on. I pulled my motor out when it had around 80k on it, just cause i was ready to build it. It had a little crack in the outer edge of the bowl in one of the pistons, and all 8 rods were straight. It also had twin cp3s and a 4088 for about 20k miles. It doesnt matter how you get your horsepower, the more you want, the more risky it is. Once you get above 500hp and sometimes lower, you have to be ready for whatever happens. Some will last a couple years at 600+, some will let go after a few months at 500hp. N20 when used properly is no more dangerous than a big charger imo.
