Hello, I am looking for reviews from those that have converted to coil overs. I have done a search but all I find is the write up on the initial conversion. I am looking for something on the prolonged use. are you wearing parts out how's the overall ride etc... I know the frame would need to be braced to support the extra weight. Thank you for your comments in advance.

Mine have been great, around 1000 miles on them and no complaints whatsoever. I didn't beef the frame up at all and I only added a small piece of steel to strengthen the bottom of the mount because the lower DJM arms are pretty thin for the shock.

Thank you for the replies, I daily drive it and I was worried about longevity of the shocks. I want to keep my stock lower arms. I want to get 2 inch drop spindles.

I run 2" drop spindles but I had them before I did the coilovers. I'm at the top of the coilover right now, it'll really depend on what spring you go with and how tall it ends up sitting. You might want to do the coilovers first and then add the spindles if you think you still need them.

longevity will also be determined on how you set them up and making sure the shock is not the limiter in the suspension travel

Ive been running mine for over 5,000 miles. Everything from towing to racing. I haven't had any issues. The only modification I did to fit mine was trim the bump stop mount to clear the spring, and drill the lower shock mount bolt out to use a larger bolt. Running a 1100lbs spring

Do you have the part number of the shock you used?
