I removed my twins a week ago, and put a s366 single on my truck. The specs for the turbo is: t4, 0.91 exh housing, billet 66mm wheel, and a 74mm exh wheel, and a turbonetics stainless pedistal. I am kind of disapointed with spoolup, it is laggy (even worse with humid weather), is this normal with this turbo? my twins pulled harder than this single does. My twins put out like 45-50psi boost, and this single puts out 42-45 psi boost. Have any of you played with the tune (throttle base injection) to spool faster, without pissing off the trans shifts? Right now my truck knocks down low, and blows black clouds of smoke out, untill the turbo fully lights (slow). Anyone have a tune that i can try to make this easier to drive? Your help will be greatly appreciated. thanks, vasile.

sounds like you are over fueling, pull back your fuel where it is knocking, and back off your timing in the same areas a little

x2 , if your fueling it too hard it will slow down the turbo quite a bit , I have not used it as a single on a truck we have had here at the shop to drive , but others have not had any complaints , I have used it in quite a few twin and triple kits , it does spool slower than the t-3 version but the added performance on the turbine side and cost ...........

Vaz are you still running the modified MAF tables from your twins ? this may be causing your over fueling issue ?

x2, your description sounds exactly like what mine was doing with a bad MAF. whole bunch of fuel/smoke down low and turbos wouldnt light till ahlf way down the road from light.

I never changed the maf tables for the twins. I had a 4 inch intake on the twins and have a 4 inch intake on this single. My buddy just rescaled my tune with lbz maf parameters.
