Thought I would post some pics of what I do with my DMax as a sort of intro. I use it to move portable buildings. This is the load I brought in tonight.

And here is one of probably the biggest load I have put ON the truck...

That is a 12x20 building, fully insulated, walls finished with OSB and a 122k btu ac unit.

The truck is an 04 lb7 currently with 161k. It has a 12' cm flatbed with a tail roller and a 9k Pierce worm gear winch. I have had the catalyst removed and have a PPE basic tuner that I typically leave on Stage 2. The tuner sure made a night and day difference in the truck. I need to install a pyrometer because sometimes when I am pushing it under a load the engine temp likes to climb.

A couple more pictures of some more reasonable loads...

A 16*24 or so hamburger stand a guy wanted to connect to his house as a man cave.

A 14*24 I moved from just outside of Decatur, Tx to Lake Whitney.

A 12*16 barn I was unloading for our lot inventory.

A couple buildings I picked up in Godley, Tx and took to Wichita Falls.

I originally started doing this with an 07 Dodge with a 6.7 and a 6 speed. I will give credit, that Dodge was stout, it was all stock with a Smartly Jr. Amd having the 6 speed was nice going down the road, but worthless on site. Very few deliveries went by that we didn't have the clutch hot before we were done. Average life was around 12k miles. The Chevy is automatic, rides better, has more comfortable seats, turns sharper, is automatic...in other words, no love lost for the Dodge!

Sometimes I have to have a little fun and load up a really big one. The manufacturer my company sells for has a couple of Isuzu NPR's they use for deliveries. Those rigs have the same overall length as my rig. They routinely put buildings as large 28' long on them.

This move here was actually a little. But i only going 3 blocks and there just was no way to my 30' trailer in to load it. It is a 12x24, and that porch makes a nice chunk of extra weight out there.

It was way off balance. The only way it loaded was that the yard came out of was 3' higher than the street so I basically pulled it straight out and onto the truck add far it would go. Them i chained the front as tight against the bed as I could, then pulled out until the end of the building came down the slope. It was very eery when final came off the ground and put all the weight on the truck.
I have put 1 other 24' long building on the truck, but that strictly unloading it off the big haul truck and going across a parking lot to set it down.

I have found that you can steer by bouncing the truck can't be real precise like that but it can get you out of a pinch

It actually steered fine. A little light on the toes but no issue. This was only a 3-4 block haul, otherwise i would have had to move to plan B.
