Actually got to see pair of bad ass trucks known as Hendrickson's. Plus something called a Melroe (they have twin detroit's totaling 880 horse).

Only wish I could have seen them in action.

When I get the pics off my work computer I will upload them.

That truck motor is pretty big. I worked on railroad locomotives, those engines are V16 two stroke diesel and put out 4000 HP at full throttle and there aren't any time limits at that power either. They are about 12 feet long and take a 20 ton crane to lift into a locomotive body.

I made a mistake BTW ... it is a V-16 Detroit.
so Two 8V's bolted together.........i LOVE detriot's. i work on a few two strokers that customers have at work and they are just fun. well till you have to really work on them. the nice thing is they are like the small block chevy in the diesel world. sorry just my .02
