This has got to be some kind of record

So we had a local diesel only day at the track. Well I had my 72mmstg2R out and sent the cover to HSP for some Vband additions. Was just going to watch the drags but decided last minute to throw the stock turbo back in the valley, run it on street tires, and have a little fun making passes. Little to my surprise, first pass down the track went [email protected] with a 1.64 60'! I was absolutely shocked it went that fast and it was only on the 4th tune being as I didn't want to kill my stock turbo. I can't wait to get my 72mm back in and on cheater slicks to see how fast it will go. I switched to a DHD lock up box and wow! This thing made a huge difference in power to the ground. But anyways, this has to be some kind of record for a truck with a stock, unmodified turbo on it still :roflmao:

JoshH went 6.95 1/8th on his 10.86 1/4 pass in the van on the stock turbo, stock pump, stock injectors.

The van still has you beat! Lol

Nice run

I would put the stage 2 back on and change nothing and see how it runs. I bet there will be little difference. It may not 60' as good. It would be cool to see. Looks like a fun event was had by everyone.

I was leaving super easy. Believe it or not, that 72 comes up way faster than the stock turbo. This thing is a lazy pig compared to the R. No joke. Not nearly as responsive with the stock turbo. Would be a good back yo back comparison. According to calculators, I was 890hp from ET and 917hp from MPH.

Glad you had such good results and, its nice to see some positive response on Ben's L/U box...with there being all this talk of attaining full lock they tuning recently and the past issues Ive read about people having issues with the BT box

I love my BT L/U box, some guys have issues with em but mine has always worked flawlessly!

I gotta wonder if you didnt get that dig BECAUSE of the stock turbo?
Ya know, because the power output was perfectly in the sweet spot for the chassis/tire combo?

At any rate, Ive had my BT L/U box with 3 different turbos (vvt4094, VGT72 and DP stg2 3794) theyve all worked well with it, but the DP chargers always pull right through the extra load of full lock with a quickness!
I luv it, by my tires and wallet don't
Lol

The DP 37 will break the tires free with L/U in "auto mode" from 3rd @ 40mph thru 5th and into 6th if I've got the room and balls...and thats on 35's with a stock engine
;)

He is using a DHD lock up box now not a BT Dieselworks box...

My fleece lockup box was money on my LMM! Never have any trouble and worked like clockwork. it actually commanded lockup in 1st gear and was full lock on the 1-2 shift. it was agressive out of the hole! :thumb:
