I am thinking of picking up a new 2016 CCLB 4x2 work Truck model. Price is 35k. I'm thinking this is a pretty good deal. I would normally not buy a 2 wheel drive but I have a 4x4 silverado with the 6.0. At this price I could keep the 6.0 and use this as my camper queen.

Question 1: price seem pretty good?

Question 2: Anyone know how the road noise is in an lml with rubberized vinyl floors?

Thanks in advance.

2wd will be fine for pulling. My business i personally own many 2wd trucks. Even for winter use.
Main thing i would consider is your location and resale value later on. unless you plan on keeping it forever. the lml is very quiet inside cab. doubt rubber floors will make it that much louder.

4x2 is a no no. You'd get stuck in my drive way.

LOL, I guess I'll make sure not to take it to your driveway. Mine has gravel and I can pull into it 2 wheel drive only. I have never pulled my camper on a trip and needed 4x4. Not saying won't happen, but unlikely. Like I said, I'm not a fan of buying 2 wheel drive but I have the gasser for any other utility needs that may require it.

On another note, my 6.0 just keeps on a ticking, so it may be smarter financially to drive it until the wheels fall off. Even though it is an excellent price, it's still a lot of money. Then there is sales tax, property tax, licence, insurance etc.

I jumped into a 6.0 after two Duramaxs and have spent way less in mods.:thumb: my driveway was gravel and part was asphalt but back out of the garage after a rain and its 3" of mud for a 15'x15' section. 2x4 is fine for a tow rig we have nothing but 2x4 trucks at work and I only get stuck once every two weeks or so.
