Saw an 09 ford a few weeks back parked at a local 711, hazards on, hooked to a 5th wheel and a hole in the side of his block. Guy looked 65+, all stock truck(i talked to him for a few). Food for thought.

Yes on the same hand rudys performance has dynoed 1000 h.p on stock bottom end and turbos

With A LOT of nitrous of course lol dynoed like 600 on fuel

My buddys got one and it will flat out hall ass

I must say though I went for a ride in buddies new fully loaded dodge and for the price, it was a good deal and if I needed a work truck I would do the same so I guess whatever floats your boat.

My lb7 cratered the motor, bone stock at 27,000 kms. Track record of the 6.4's is very good.

X2 if i was lookng at a diesel and didnt want a dmax , it would be a Dodge , cant do the Ford thing , spent too many years as a mechanic to buy blue oval

Guy I work with just blew his up after 33k miles. Now Ford wont replace the engine they want to pull it apart and rebuild it.(Block is still good)

Not a Ford fan by any stretch of the imagination but when you can do tuner, intake, exhaust and make 550+HP on a stock trans it gets my attention. All the ones I've been around so far have been trouble free, tow like crazy and fry 35 inch tires like it's their job. I would buy the Ford before the Dodge any day of the week.

The Cummins is sweet but the Dodge body/interior/chassis doesn't hold a candle to the Ford IMO.

There are quite a few guys around here that tow a bit with the 6.4's. I haven't heard of any of them getting near 10mpg towing anything over a fishing boat. Cummins gets my vote over the ford.

I like the body and interior of the fords over the dodges but the cummins is of course way better then the 6.4s. Your dually isn't the one that ran 10.90 is it? I would just get the new 2011 dmax with the denali package

Was talking about stock to stock with tune and exhaust, even then if they do upgrade turbos they still need alot of N20 to stay competitve with Dmaxs and Cummins

no, the dually isn't the truck I race. This one wouldn't see any racing.

Fords are breaking trannies already, I heard there aren't any aftermarket upgrades for that trans yet either??? My buddy has a reg cab 08 6.4 with a Spartan 311 tune, hauls ass but the trans is on its way to being fried, chatters like a bastard when the converter locks. Same issues different emblem!!!!
