As messed up as it sounds. . . I hope not. Even if you did 'live' through something like that you would have to be put back together like a jigsaw puzzle. . . and life from that point on would (IMO) NOT be worth living.

I feel sorry for the semi driver. Couldnt do anything to avoid it. He has to live with that for the rest of his life.

X2 and so does everyone one how either saw it or was a first responder on the scene. Looks like a car bomb. Parts everywhere.

wow, horrible. :(

And everyone whines about "stupid gov't forcing ESC to be standard on all 2012+ vehicles", I bet electronic stability control would have prevented this accident in the first place. It looks like what happened is the driver strayed into that slush patch in the middle of the road, then overcorrected...

...really? If this had happened, back 15-20 years ago when they mandated air bags in everything you'd be trying to us air bags would've have saved a life here. If government keeps mandating enough bullshit technology to the point where noone can afford a new vehicle I would cede your point.

There are more lobbyists and trial attorneys in the darkest deepest corners of human society out there pushing more feel good technology so they can get there pay day and further the nanny state. Sawstop is the perfect example, want a million dollars? Cut your finger off today in a table saw bought new without sawstop and you'll have twenty lawyers at your bedside by tomorrow morning. You can call the company they'll give you a list of lawyers, they'd love nothing more than there tech to be mandated and licensed to every saw maker out there.
