I'm thinking about making a short trip to Southern California sometime soon. What are some things that are must do while I'm there? I'm planning on going by and visiting Guy at SoCal and Mike at Inglewood while I'm there. Also thinking about renting a Camaro or something and driving up the PCH. Thought about checking out the Santa Monica Pier and Griffith Observatory. What do you locals or veterans to the area have to suggest?

Well your going from one end(Guy) to the other end(Mike) of So cal. Depends on what you want to do. While up at Guy's you can go to Magic Mountain if you like roller coaster places. It's 10-minutes.
The beach drive is nice on a sunny day. Santa Monica Pier is good. Venice beach
Long Beach Aquarium, Queen Mary.
Our local mountains have lots of snow now.
Descanso gardens in La Canada. Neat relaxing place to go.
Here are a few.

hunnington beach is about an hour from Mikes. lots of good places to eat down there. Im sure you want to go to disney land too josh :D. thats 10 min from mikes. Like Pure said, Magic Mountain is just down the street from Guy. PPE is right up the road from Mike. Glamis is about 2 hours from LA iirc if you wanted to see the big sand box we play in. Depending on when you go, the King of the Hammers race is coming up which is in johnson valley. its a week long deal of racing.

I'm looking at the middle of February right now. I'll probably be there for 3 days or so. I'm not sure I'm really looking to go to any amusement parks. I'm more interested in touristy type stuff that you can't see anywhere else.

What is the most scenic section of the PCH? Are there any cool destinations or stops along the way that I could drive in an afternoon? I'm thinking maybe hit the pier in the morning then check out some stuff in LA before I cruise up the coast. I just don't know how feasible that is and if I can fit that much into one day.

If your going to drive PCH, through Malibu, and you want some good sea food try Paradise Cove Beach Café. Its nice a little expensive but the view is great. They filmed Rockford files there. Malibu Seafood is nice a little better on the budget and a great view also.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll check out both.

You could go help protest Trump while you're in liberal land!
That's the whole reason for the trip!

Big bear is nice a little small but nice. Redondo beach pier is kinda cool or santa monica. Huntington is nice. City walk at night has a good party. You could check our local casinos and theaters for bands playing. Tour the wineries or check out our breweries. The crart beer scene here is getting really big. Check out Hollywood and Venice beach for weirdos. Some cool stuff in long beach for sure. Just be careful of the traffic here because it will kill your amount of free time.

What do you like to eat? That will also determine where about you end up on a trip

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll keep it all in mind while making plans. There's not much I don't like to eat. I think I will for sure check out one of those seafood places in Malibu that Pure Diesel mentioned. I'm a big fan of Rockford, so that one would be cool to go to. If you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear it.

The flights are booked now, so it is for sure happening. Anyone ever been on the studio tour at Paramount? Is it worth $55?
