OK I would have laughed it off, the fact that they ripped off my DSP-5 switch idea (especially the valet mode, nicely done guys), BUT the insulting thing was they even ripped off the freaking font I use in my company logo!!! (sofachrome bold, in case anyone cares)

https://www.facebook.com/WaglerCompetitionProducts

And they priced it $25 less than I said my rough price point would be, brilliant!

I guess thats the last time I ever post up "what im working on next, but havent had time to finalize and get into production yet". Because obviously people who have more free-time on their hands than I do will use my ideas to their advantage.

oh well. I guess thats what I get for trying to work on too many things at once, without being able to get anything 100% finished. That'll teach me....!

Ill probably buy one just to hack it open and see if they even copied my internal parts.

Still not as cool as yours since it doesn't fit in a gauge pod.

(patent pending, my ass! You'd be an idiot to waste thousands of dollars on patenting something electronic in this day and age. All someone has to do is change the values of 2 resistors slightly and BOOM, its not copywrite infringement anymore)

If you go to their website and facebook page, they even got the black and red color scheme worked out.

Like I said, I did this to myself...shoulda kept my mouth shut about what im working on. And im so busy that I need to clone myself to keep up with filling orders while simultaneously working on new product R&D....BUT ripping off my company logo font and color combo is kinda what eats at me.

Think about how many products/innovations other people have come up and talked about on the forums over the years that ended up ripped off by cheap copiers. Sorry it happened to you, Ben but its just one of those things I guess.

How do we know that you didn't rip him off? I wonder if he has a working phone and computer ,answers phone calls, returns emails and PM's promptly? :roflmao:

Sucks LIL Buddy but this is the way it is. Look what Moonshine did to TTS. Dam two birds one stone! :roflmao:

But seriously like you said to protect you ideas and products just aren't worth the money you receive in returns on sales. You'll just have to bring the best product to market with the best support. Good luck! :)

On another note, you lock up controller works great Ben, the one beef I have with it is the cable to the controller, stiff as hell and not very easy to control. It would be a lot better if you could use a curly cord like the old phone cords or like the NOS buttons. that way you could velcro it to the steering wheel and not tear it off when you turn the steering wheel like at the end of the track.:thumb:

As far as stealing ideas, pretty much the norm in this day and age. Good tuners get their tunes copied all the time, the real good twin and triple turbo builders same thing.
