I'm hesitant to put this out there right now, but I am going to try to make a 10 second run in the dumpster. Of course there is no way I can do it fuel only with the stock turbo, but I want to do it with a stock engine, stock CP3, stock injectors, and stock turbo. As far as I know, it has never been done with the engine in a factory application (maybe in an engine swap, but I don't know for sure). It will not be easy, but I feel like it is something I can accomplish. I hope to be able to do it before the tracks close down for the winter. There are a few things I have in mind that I think will help me be able to accomplish it. I will update this as I make changes and progress. The reason I really want to do this is because the fastest Duramax list is now setup so that a 10 will never be bumped off the list. If I'm able to do it, there will always be a stock van on a list with a bunch of high dollar fully built trucks. I just think that would be pretty damn funny.

Good luck, Josh. :thumb: Id be asking Brett Deutch for advice, b/c thats what he was doing with his LLY.

IMO, LBZ is about best to try it with. You've got some weight advantage, too.

Well Josh you'll need to gain about 60/75 HP or lose approx 500 LBS. This according to the trusty on sight math calculator! At least I think that is what it is?

I believe its do able!

I based that on your time in your sig and the race weight you gave of 5500.

I've got a pretty good sized Nitrous setup if you need to borrow it.
I think I'm ok. I have 2 .125 orifice solenoids on it right now, but I'll keep it in mind. Thanks for the offer.

I figure I should be there if I can find another 200 lbs and about 40 hp.

what duration are you running now?

3000 and dropping rail to 24k. In my experience, a stock injector LBZ in really good condition will hold around 25k with a 3150 pulse width.

Josh you suddenly hate the motor in your van? I hope you make it, probably need a perfectly prepared track, and hopefully a tail wind. I really doubt if it will hold together for more than a couple of passes. That van was pretty much a shell when I saw it last year, where will you find 200 lbs? BTW congratulations on making a good showing at the world finals this year. :thumb: Where was the red Dmax of your bosses with my old drag radials and rims? Or did I miss it?
