More time than I care to admit. LOL

I drove the truck into the shop in January of 2012 with the intention that I would drive it out in 8 weeks. :roflmao: I probably could have met my goal - but I wouldn't have been happy with it. Knowing what I know now I would have proceeded much differently and probably would have been done by now and saved some money and headache in the process. A project like this is not for everyone - that is for sure.

Looks like all the long hours and hard work were worth it! That's badass!!

I hope your GM doesn't have the i:eek:nfamous Ford steer wobble

It won't - that is caused by the factory radius arms and goes away by converting to 4 link with proper setup and adjustment. As the OEM Ford suspension droops out after a bounce it loses caster and that starts the wobble - with a 4 link you gain caster as it droops out keeping it stable. If you add a leveling kit to an OEM Ford front end with radius arms you might run out of adjustment on the caster all together - but most people never bother to even check it until they start having issues - which might be way too late.

I get a lot of questions about why I swapped out the Chevy 11.5 AAM axle for the Dodge 11.5 AAM axle - aside from the Dodge have 4" axle tubes and thicker walls, here is the differences in the brakes and the axle shafts:

Yes - I have a 2005 Ford axle. No it is not the 8x170 lug pattern:

Looks awesome! Toby's kit from Triple X traction is hands down the best SAS'd out there. Took me a year and a half to finish my SAS I also went ahead and 4 linked the rear while I was at it.

My truck is a blast to drive now that it is linked and SAS'd! I was afraid to put it in 4x4 when it was IFS now I go out of my way to put it in 4x4:roflmao:

Keep up the good work and keep us updated. Wish I had your motor and all the goodies!

Yeah... I know I'm going to be pushing it pretty hard.... I'm going to hold it back at a level that I think will be OK and hopefully it will run nice and crisp and clean. Eventually a built motor is in the plans - but it all takes time and money. LOL

Lots of things to button up - but it moves under its own power now. Getting excited to finalize the last few bits and drive it. :D
