The new Limo

Figured I’d start a build thread for the new truck as i completely go against what I say I WONT do and wind up doing it

Truck is a brand new 2020 chevy 2500HD L5P/10 speed alli CC/LB 4x4 High Country loaded up. Most of you know this junk.

Thus far, I have 17” method wheels coming that will get some powdercoat and then we will be test fitting 35’s at stock height. Thought about 1.5” drop shackles but that may not work with the 5th wheel

I did pick up an Anderson 5th wheel hitch being that there are 1 or 2 hitches only out there right now for a 2020 and I’m not paying 1300 for one .

And loaded up ready for a weeks vacation up north. Excited to see how it pulls!

She definitely squats more than I thought it would but that’s prior to the tracker going in the back. That brought the ass end back up a bit

Thanks everyone! She pulls well! The 10 speed is awesome on hills and loaded down. Keeps you in the power at all times. In this temp, the old limo would out pull it on the grades but at 65mph up the 2 lane windy hills, I have 0 complaints. I slowed more for sick passengers than anything . Never heard the fan though I don’t know how loud it really is. The exhaust note it makes under power is nice to hear inside. Got a good rumble to it.

A lot! Rebuild the sand car trans and a few other things for dune season next year, finish the tracker long travel and front diff setup, put a patio cover on the back of the house, and more lmao

Hell if I know. It’s “10,500” empty per the mfg. with my tracker in it and loaded for the week, I would assume it’s around 15-16k. Pin is 2500 with no weight in the back so probably 2k with the tracker in there.

Never spent the time to hit a scale. Maybe one day if we’ve got time.
