Ok...I bit the line and bought one while at Target....
A few notes.....
1. You can only use an English muffin or similar sized bread...Grills the bread nicely.
2. If you use cheese( who wouldn't), it has to go on top of the bread directly or it will create a sleazy mess if it's put on top of bacon or sausage. Almost over melts the cheese.
3. Gotta use cooking spray when cracking the egg into its designated compartment. The Teflon coating is ok, but it does get sticky, which leads to a huge mess when pulling the lever and more of a mess to clean..
3a. For the same said egg, I cook it a bit before I put the top part of the muffin on it to make sure it's not sticking to said compartment.
4. The only meat I have used is Canadian bacon as it's the only thing I could find to fit the little compartment. It heats the bacon, but I like mine darkened in the skillet. I couldn't find any sausage patties that would fit.
5. Cleaning is ok. The middle part comes out and you can wash it normally. The top and bottom part can be wiped clean because thats where the electrical comes in.
6. It definitely takes longer than 5 minutes..Especially if you are a two egg person....
7. My wife called me a "geek" for the first time in 17 years because of this thing..
8. I really can't believe I just wrote what I wrote for an egg cooker..
IMO, it's so-so. Not really a huge head turner.
Carry on...
