My truck sat at my company's compound while i was at work last year and i came back after my shift to find out someone tried to pry off the lock off my door handle. I was just lucky they didnt get into it. It also happened to about 3 or 4 other vehicles, needless to say my company wouldnt pay for it and they said they couldnt see anything on the security camera. Theres 250 bones down the drain.

Sounds like a pretty nice alarm that I may have to look into. I think the only reason the factory one went off is because they must have opened the door once the window was out. I though about taking my gun out there was right next to my bed but I thought I was going to see a cat or something stupid out there.

I just dropped it off at the shop. The total of the estimate was....$1,325.91:eek:
I guess they have to paint and blend both doors on that side because of all the marks the bastards put in it. Also a new door panel since mine is now scratched to sh*t and other bits here and there. Good thing I will be in San Diego from thurs-sun so I wont need to drive it ha.
Anyone ever use those Jimmy Jammers?

It comes with remote start also. You don't have to perchase a seperate box to control the delay for the glow plugs either. It has a built in timer, mine is set for 10 seconds to start after the button has been pressed. I like the 2 way key fob it comes with. It shows you if the truck is running or a door is open, or the hood too. It makes all kinds of noise if the alarm does go off. It will wake a deep slepper in the midle of the night. Not too bad on price either.

Had a smash and grab about 8 months ago.
Side window out, reached in and took everything I had plugged in at the time:
GPS ($400)
Cell phone x2 (wife and mine) ($150 and $400!)
Radar detector. ($350)
All chargers too.
Called insurance: Only cover personal property to $250
Deductable was $500.
Window and regulator was close enought to call $500
Got the $250 to replace $1300 worth of electronics!
Pissed big time. Was only in the store for like 10 minutes.
However, left my camera and wife's purse untouched. They just grabbed the 12v items plugged in and ran.
Feel you pain, but you have car damage unfortuately.

That sucks, like anybody needs another friggen hassel in their life. I wish you could have shot those P O S's . Theives deserve Death, plain and simple.

Ive been broken into before ( another vehicle) Its a helpless feeling when your raged up like bull with no one to horn.

Exactly why my truck is stock on the inside. I really want a pioneer indash screen but until my truck can be parked in the garage every night its not getting one.

FYI they put the screw driver in the exact same place as the pictures in the first post, they just did a lot more damage to the sheetmetal.

Here too,, I couldn't count on one hand how many trucks and suvs I've repaired lately after being broken into.

Like Mike said, this shit is gettin rediculous. At least ins coverd yours. They wouldn't do shit for me when that box got ripped out of mine a month ago. WTF am I paying them for?!?!:mad:


Hope the body shop takes care of you. The beer thing (coke) stands for me too.... Let me know when.
