That always worked for me on the old version but was redundant with the home button right below it too

Im with you on the circular avatars. Thats going to get some getting used to. I also never knew i could click on the banner to go to the home page before.

I think this site software is just bundled with the standard Unicode emoji packages. It would be nice if we could get the old ones back. They represent sarcastic text better than this current one does. There are no rolling on the floor laughing or spitting your water out, etc
This will take some getting used to.

Just now figured out how to PM someone....you have to hover your cursor over their username or avatar and click "start conversation".

On the mobile site, you have to click the hamburger menu and it is in that.
patience my friends, patience. Old smileys went no where yet (just not on here), home page is getting changed around for the first bit while fish makes adjustments to it but recents posts and other things will slowly acquire there. We are working on a whole list of things still in what we feel is most important and going down the list.
There are many little details still to address. this is no small task. we would rather have the place live and you guys able to bounce around in here while we make changes than turn the forum off for a week while we try to fix every little detail. That just isnt fair or fun lol.

If you guys would like, post tastfully what you may be having issues with or missing or dont like and be as descriptive as possible so i can follow what you are saying and see what can be done about it.

Software upgrade growing pains & wins
Overall, looks to be a good start on the migration, and I do think this will be a nice long-term improvement. I'm sure Jimmy & The Fish are aware of most of these, but I thought I'd put up a list of what I've noticed so far. Unicode / UTF-8 decode issues on old posts. Specifically, apostrophes...

So far its not bad. Just small little changes that would be nice which most have mentioned. I would definitely like a dark mode
I am a fan of the like button as well
I like it too. I never used tapatalk and always on my phone. I definitely liked the old site but this isnt going to take much getting used to.
