I just bought a lbz with 254k miles on it. Drove it home an it seemed to run pretty good. I had a snapon scanner present when I bought it so I knew the code was a p003a. It would clear and stay off till I shut it down and started it back up or pushed the truck real hard. Got home, put a sensor from a different truck in it and the light went out. Used Efi to hook up and try to move the vanes in the turbo. They stayed at 40-44% all the time. Seems like it's sluggish till the 2800 rpm like some people say theirs did. Just curious if I'm Guna have to pull this turbo an clean it? Or look into replacement?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! And I've searched this topic for the past week, just ain't coming up with any solid cures yet.

I ran it pretty hard this weekend. Seems like it's starting the "scream" at like 2400 instead of 2800. Has anyone successfully grabbed ahold of the vanes and broke them free without having to remove turbo? If I pull it off it will get a down pipe an a batmo, but I'd really like to not pull it if I don't have to.
