I've rode it probably 10 -15 times....about two years ago we were going across and they were winching a bike up the side of the mountain with the guy still on it(dead).

Pretty kick ass place though, would like to cross it in a car instead of on bikes all the time down there....lots of good places in that area though. Blueridge Parkway, foothills park road of whatever it's called, we ride down there quite a bit.

It's not the curves that get you it's all the off camber in the road. Never been there but I've been on some wicked roads up North . Foot board scrapers. :D

Yeah it all sounds great but its a road that goes someplace, to much traffic back and forth, cars and bikes dont play well together. They should close it once a year and have a timed ralley from one side to the other for all vehicles, that would be cool! A good bucket list item is the Nürburgring in Germany look it up thats a real road!

There a Road in Vermont ,part of Route 100 I think. It's really twisty with some hair-pins that are off camber and steep! When you get to the top you can look down at the road and watch people come up. It's unfriggen real.

We watched a few rice rockets and one in particular,we didn't know it at first was ridden by a girl. She did real well

Fun to ride and watch.

This is true... u ride at your own risk car or bike...

They do time trials... or they used two, I don't know if they do anymore...

the Kank up in NH is my favorite so far. I want to ride the Tail someday though. I don't remember any particularly windy or steep section of RT100, it's not bad riding though at all.

We were on Kangamangus (spelling?) one year and rounded a corner at 50 mph to find an enormous deer right in the middle of the road lol...all ended well, but I had to check my shorts after that one!! haha

:thumb: That would be good times! We have a road out here in SoCal that really goes nowhere called GMR (Glendora Moutain Road) Its the best of the least traveled roads, Then there is Palomar Mt road (front side) Best traveled road with about a dozen others right on its heals! We are spoiled we can ride or drive twisty roads all year long because half the good roads are in the desert!

I'm not 100% sure that was the road. The road was south of Stowe VT approx 30/50 miles. We had riden through Stowe and south. In the beginning there was a pretty famous gorge ,we stopped and continued on returning North on a different route the route I'm referring to. Tough when you get old :D

On edit have you ever riden over through the Notch at Stowe VT?
