So I was looking around and all of a sudden I couldnt do anything.

Am I banned. I dont know?

Is this what their banning system is like?

I never recieved any notification that I was. And it doesnt say that I am banned.

Any ideas, pr perhaps somebody could PM a mod over there and see whats up.

I go over time to time to look at the for sale area. And other stuff like what George is up to and other that don't come here. I ended up finding a vendor give away entered some pics and videos of truck and won. It was for Randys Ring and pionion. Going to be getting a set of bigger axles 38 splin the tool to drill axle tube out and also you choose a spool or I choose the Grizzly locker. First time I have ever won anything at all be kinda cool doing a write up on the install and pics. Amazed that those parts are worth 1,800 bucks.

I agree too that that site is far from what it used to be, It was kind of nice when the entire Dmax community was mostly on one site, now you have to jump around to 6 different ones to get ahold of all of them.

The only things I really do on the DP is chat with the guys that I pull with as they hang out over there for the most part, and I also like the marketplace but other than that, nothing really.

I have been on The Place since Oct '04, and I'd say it got too big for itself. I bet this, or any other performance site, with a membership of 100,000 will be the same.

I do go there to check on the Vendor Specials and check in on the Portland Chapter in the PNW section.

I will give The Place credit, it has one of the best GM ZF6 sections on the net.

It is so easy to get around the ban, just get a free program that blocks you IP and substitutes it for a fake one by routing through another IP Addy and Server, or even easier just call your ISP up and ask for your IP address to be changed, delete all cookies, cached pages and history for the site and then sign up again with a new email addy and user name.

They are looking for your IP address, once that is changed they got nothing !!!

I dunno...The Place isnt what it used to be, but then what is? Every site evolves...and sometimes not in a good direction. I'll get lambasted for this, but even this site isnt the same as last year/couple years ago, but you learn to roll with the punches I guess.

The Place is where I started to learn about the Dmax, and made many friends there. Even though some things happening there now arent what Id call "appealing", I stick around there and try to help others.
I just dont like the group of young kids that have taken the Place over and are turning it into Diesel Ricer World. Jackasses.
Then you've got some new vendors that dont give a rats ass about ethics or courtesy, what with selling product in tech threads, making outlandish, unfactual claims about their product and running other products down to help sell theirs, of which management doesnt seem to care.

Yes that message is soooooo familiar. Just turn your router off overnight and re register in the morning. You will have a different IP and there is waaaaaaay too many people for them to catch you. That place is junk anymore. I was a mod and got banned. If your not crooked your not getting anywhere. Kinda crappy but hey its how they want it and they will pay for it in the long run. All I did was help people there and thats ALOT more than I can say for most other mods there.
