Just for reference, you can spool a 1057 with a charger as large as a GT4202 if you tune it right.

So what would you recommend for the bigger cheetah? I mean it wont go on immediately so ill just have the stocker for a while, is it worth switching out when i get the turbo or is there one that works great for both?

LarryJewel runs a big cheetah with a ML I belive. From what I have heard the cheetahs are easy to spool and nowhere close to needing a loose converter

Ill have to look into that Ml then. What does everyone think about the PTC converters. I know a couple guys who run them and they like them

PI in house converter is great for towing and mild power. I would limit it to 450hp only because it is loose and you will blow through it with anything more than that.( strength of all converters is the same ) I had the ML built for McRat when I watched his launch video's at LasVegas and thought his namesake 1057 was a little lethargic out of the hole. Terry at PI watched the video 's and agreed. We came up with the ML. It's a little looser off the line and mimics the 1057 to a point but a little different.
The converter I'm excited about is his new Cummins stator in an Allison converter. Stay tuned for this one.

Oops....I think I'm putting a few more ponies than 450 through mine. My truck always wants to blow through the brakes at the starting line..is that a "tight" or "loose" converter? Whatever it is, I think its a dang good converter. It was money well spent.

I started out with a SC 1050, drove it for several years, currently I have a ML Precision, I really like this one :D
I love the performance of this converter, It must work well with a large charger if Larry approves and I am more than happy running it with stock charger:mikelsheep::coal:
