Dang beat me to it Pat. Had 1 pull up at the gas station next to me. Wondering why 2 other guys were walking around the truck. I saw the graphics n got out. Guy said he got on the ford raptor website n ordered over the net. Suspension looks sweet on it and also lookin from the front or back, this thing has a super wide stance. Don't know about the back but he knocked on the front half n it was all fiberglass. Looked good...

One thing I noticed which is pretty cool, is watch the key chain on the high speed runs. The difference in ride betweein regular mode and sport mode is pretty cool.

whoops meant hand grenade. The sticker like this:

img_grenade.jpg

that you see on the back windows of cars all over. Its for Grenade Gloves, a snowboarding company, but all kinds of people think its "cool" to have that sticker. Like the SoCal or SRH stickers, etc.

that dang image is an optical illusion...it looks like there are dots at the intersections of the white "paths", but there aren't. :D

Not bad looks like its geared for the desert crowd. I like the disable for the ABS every truck and should have one. But I bet there will be a lot of warranty problems, ford already gives you the run around.

While i agree with the other thoughts of it being a watered down off road truck , but what other Auto man has had the balls to do the same or come out with something cooler for that market ? Not to mention that it is still a perfectly streetable truck , that could due any task that it was bought for , and comes with a warrentee !

I'd be interested to see it entered in the production class at the Baja 1000. Hat's off to ford for making the stickers actually mean something more.

It will get beat and then broke and some of them will come in for warranty stuff. Just like with a lot of the evo's and sti's a while back, people beating the hell out of them like a rally car and then breaking it and bringing it back to the dealer for warranty.

How in the hell is this a watered down off road truck? I'd put a month's pay down that it will out wheel any other production truck. Hell, I bet it'll do better than 99% of the lifted trucks out there, since lifts maintain most of the stock suspension parts, add bigger shocks and put the truck up in the air for looks... A Z06 is just a watered down race car...

It certianly needed something other than the 5.4 in it. I have a rc/lb 250 with the 5.4 and with 285 firestone mt's it doesn't have enough power to clean them out when you put it in the mud. Other than the motor, I'm impressed.:)

While the 5.4 would not be my weapon of choice, unless I wanted to shoot out spark plugs and kill people, 300HP is actually more than enough to get you in trouble off-road. I doubt if there is a hill you cannot climb due to lack of HP.

BFG's are don't work in actual mud without about 80mph wheel speed and 300hp, doesn't sustain that during a muddy hill climb. Don't ask me how I know.

Heck as far as 300 hp goes, my atv only has about 27 and I can get into plunty of trouble with that if I try hard enough.
