USPS is way over loaded this year, taking on the contract of Amazon and Amazon prime was kind of a bad thing, most carriers can not fit all the packages in their trucks now, we are on the path of getting new trucks but we all know how quickly the federal government works on things we "need".

USPS is now renting thousands of Ford Transit 250 from Enterprise and vans to help out with the over load

Are they behind already? Had a 2 day priority end up being a 4 day. Seeing the volume that comes out of Amazon first hand, it amazes me if any of the carriers can keep up.

Has the usps taken the bulk of the house hold deliveries for Amazon? I’ve noticed they have delivered all my amazon stuff this year whereas before it was ups

We'll easily be breaking last year's records.

So I’m assuming you haven’t noticed a decrease in business since amazon has started doing some of their own shipping?

I've been waiting on a FedEx package to come from 3.5 hours away for 4 days. The first day it arrived in a facility 1.5 hours away, then they shipped it to a facility 2.5 hours back in the direction it started from. I can't understand that one.

Wayyyy behind, carriers are running 10-12 hour days mandatory.
