Kat, New Braunfels is an awesome place...they have Schlitterbahn also; but the water is alot colder in NB...we took our kids and on the way back from the park asked if the wanted to play in the Comal River (man made river that runs next to Schlitterbahn....they actually had more fun playing in the river..Then in the evening goto Gruene (few miles from downtown New Braunfels you can check out Gruene dance hall (oldest and probably one of most popular dance halls in Texas)..and eat at the Grist Mill next door...we only live about 4 hours from New Braunfels and it is our favorite vacation spot (every year). BTW Happy Belated Birthday!!
