Convenient the car they randomly picked had an add on cup holder in front of the A/C vents for proper can-cam placement... It was still kind of funny though.

Got a few things wrong, as they always do. They didnt make Camaros in 09 and the one they drove was a V6. Then during the test drive the in car shots they played v8 engine accel sounds......

I was wondering why they picked a V6. It still was funny seeing the salesman freak out. It would be fun to take a car out on a test drive and just beat on it.

Turns out the whole thing was staged....and Gordon didn't do all of the driving. He had a stunt driver (racer Brad Noffsinger, who works with the Richard Petty Driving Experience) do some of the driving. Thats just embarrasing. Your a racer and your not good enough to do your own driving commercial.

I bet contract or insurance had something to do with that.

You're probably exactly correct. But does that make it any better?

Producers- "Hey Jeff, we're gonna do a prank driving commercial. We're going to do some donuts in a parking lot and drive up a loading dock and we might hit 60 MPH."

Jeff- "OK sounds good, I'm in."

Lawyers- "Umm, sounds way too dangerous for a professional NASCAR driver. We better get a less qualified driver to actually do the driving."

Jeff- "Yeah, Ok, that won't make me look like an idiot. I'm still in."

He needed to either do the driving himself, or tell them to pound sand. Thats just my take on it. Rant over.
