I have a 2008 duramax, 182,000 miles. All stock power with all the EPA stuff still on and working. I have a egt, oil temp gauge and edge insight.
My question is does anyone have gauges on a stock truck and what are you seeing for oil and egts?? Mine runs hotter than I would like to see them run. I've owned the truck sense new, less that 5 miles on it and it has ran the same, mileage is the same. The motor area is clean, no sign of leaks.

With an just an intake and exhaust (DP Back), and an EGR plate I was seeing EGTs around 1000-1300 towing my dad's 38' 5th wheel between 70 and 80 mph. I averaged around 1000 to 1100 and would occassionally spike to 1300. Do not know about oil temps as I do not have a gauge for that yet.

I think most are seeing in the 250 or so range for oil temps towing, but some have seen a good bit higher. As for EGT's, on a stock truck 1300-1400 would be easily reacheable.

My oil holds 240-270 pulling, and 220-240 empty, egts run 1200-1500 pulling.
Thanks for the honest replays.
