EFILive will only allow a Calibration flash on the 6 speed TCM because it takes over an hour to do a full read/write of the TCM, which generally speaking is not going to viable for our customers. The longer the time needed, the higher the risk of issues (ie flat batteries, user accidently disconnecting FlashScan etc)

Cheers
Cindy

It's actually just the read that takes an hourish. A full write takes less than 10 minutes with a Tech 2 (faster than the LBZ & LMM Full flash, I think).

Is it the cal file size that makes it slow to read or just the way it reads it?

It's the way the "Rocket Scientists" at Allison designed the TCM to allow reads .

Thank you Cindy for the info on how EfILive works. The friend that was interested in the tech2 is no longer interested after finding the price was a little high for him. Sorry I was no help.:(
