Well I fought with the valve cover for two more hours and ended up breaking the valve cover on accident.

So does anybody have a spare driver side lower valve cover for a lb7 they want to sell.

Here are some pictures of the sleeves on the driver side.

Sorry for the crappy pics my camera battery went dead but it looks like I for sure have a blown headgaket

Guy at SoCal should have some.

Just make sure you don't brush the tips. I'm sure you know this though.

 1. Notice: The fuel injector must be cleaned with the proper cleaning equipment. DO NOT use abrasive cleaning methods, such as a metallic brush, to remove deposits. Cleaning an injector with improper tools will damage the fuel injector.
Use a soft bristle non-metallic brush and top engine cleaner, GM P/N 1052626 or equivalent, to remove any deposits from the nozzle tip (1) and the copper washer sealing area (2) before re-installation.
Inspect the fuel injector nozzle tip (1) for any signs of discoloration (dark yellow, tan, or blue) due to excessive heat.
 2. Replace the injector if any damage is found.

I am trying to figure out the valve train,

I made the mistake of not seeing the orientation of the valve bridges although I have them set where they look like they are all in full contact with the rockers.

I also didn't mark which side was which of the valve train assembly.

I havent torqued it downcompletly but some pushrods have alot of play.

AnY info this

I don't want to have to adjust the valves

You have to back the rockers off before tqing the shaft mount down, and you must reset the valave lash, You can break the rocker shaft trying to bolt it down with out backing the rocks off o even a push rod.

Nothing can be easy

Do you have the valve lash adjustment procedure

I also need torque specs for injector holddowns

So it looks like I only have to set the crankshaft at number 1 TDC on the intake stroke adjust the highlighted valves

then number 1 tdc on the exhaust stroke. and adjust the remaining valves

And the intake and exhaust valves use the same lash .012 inches or .3mm

How do I know when it is on the intake and exhaust stroke?

watch the valves and wait to see the intake arm open up and close, having the number 1 injector out helps
