TC seating depth question

I measured the stock converter before I pulled it. New one isn't going quite far enough (like an 1//8" off)

It is engaging the pump because I can turn it, but when I measure the bell housing to flexplate distance vs. the trans housing to tc mounting tab location I see I'm about a 1/16" short.... don't want to wreck the pump....

I also measured several aspects of the new converter and it comes out identical?!

Help!! (It's a DPC super single converter)

Try to spin slightly lift it, sometimes they are tough as Hell to get them to seat all the way. If you can't get it you can try standing the trans up to help align everything. Hope this helps

Thanks for the help... Turned out the splines were just a little tight.. Took a block of wood and smacked it and it went that last little bit... lol. Better safe than sorry I guess..
