ill probably end up teaching myself how to program microcontrollers. Doing it the "analog" way like Im currently doing my tap-shift is so mickey mouse and much more complicated than it needs to be.

wont be until this summer though when I have more time...

How does a Co-Pilot work? I know that there is a solenoid that goes in the pan, does it just bypass the "F" solenoid and provide a different way to get fluid to the TCC lock-up signal port? I know the controller references boost, and TPS, but I'm only wondering about the mechanical side of it.

The solenoid in the copilot is there to unlock the gain valves.

as far as I know, no. The only way to make it work is to manually control the existing tcc solenoid.

my question is how do you eleminate the coding problem when the tcc is engaged manually via lock up controller ? have never checked to see if you can disable the dtc's ?

Would someone be willing to share with me any schematics and wiring diagrams on how they are wiring up lock-up switches and/or lock-up controllers. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Are the wiring diagrams and pin identifiers out there for the TCM & trans wiring harness? Is the lock-up solenoid a 12v solenoid? How big (ohm) of a resistor would you need to place in line?

I have been to the track twice in the past 2wks and the converter will not lock until 4th. I already have 2 loose torque converters and really do not want to have to buy another converter (or continue to lose time on the track all summer) if the lock-up can be controlled externally (at least until the programming becomes available through EFI Live).

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
