I love the way my truck shifts (smooth and tight) after I have been towing a heavy load for several hundred miles straight. Is there a way to view what the TAPS have learned and what the current setting is? I would love to have the truck shift like this all the time but it works its way out after driving with no load and goes back to soft shifts.

You can view the TAP cell values in the scan tool (Calibration -> Allison Transmission adapt cells or Shift + Ctrl + F4), but AFAIK, there's no way to program them back in seperately, so viewing them is more or less useless IMO.

Thats what I thought, just making sure. What exactly is the TAPS number controlling? Shift times? Pressure?

which table locks out the adaptive TAPS? I would think that once it is shifting crisp and tight then you could lock out the adaptive learning and its game on (as long as you don't change tunes). right or wrong?
