Not to start a mess here, but I run amsoil ATF currently, would it hurt to switch back to a cheaper fluid? I switched cause the amsoil was easier to get and cheaper than transynd.

Bumping an old thread but i was talking to Rick at PPE last night about this question and he said not to use Transynd because it is hard on the gaskets in the transmission. He stuttered around when i asked him about why i can buy it from Allison dealers and they recommend it. This is the same guy who when i had issues with my trans caused by the converter flow valve plug falling out he tried to tell me that my problem was caused by cleaning the valve body. "You shouldn't clean the valve body because the chemicals you use will cause the o-rings to swell and make the valves stick". :roflmao: And he has such a strong spanish accent i can barely understand him. Why he is in transmission technical support is beyond me!!!
