I raced mine yesterday. My firestone all terrain 10ply tires did not like anything over 8psi of boost. Had them down to 30 psi. Had no hop at all and was smooth out of the hole. Pretty sure they was keeping me from getting better 60ft times. Way to hard of tire for the track in my opinion

I think the only reason the wife can get a 1.7 60' on these tires is the track prep is real good here. Here is a video of her best pass of 13.00@101mph, this was at about 10psi of boost.

I honestly don't see the 60' being your problem. low 1.7's are good for you, you need to work on the 1/8 MPH, your truck needs more horsepower. You are getting off the line very good just running out of steam. You have enough turbo for 5-6 more MPH.

Are you kidding a woman doing a soft launch:roflmao:

hahaha
I was just re-assuring you that BLKLMM was indeed a very experienced racer, nothing more

the toe setting thing is a crucial element cuz as the truck launches and the front end lifts, the front tires "toe" in, or point in to the center. if you lower the t-bars the toe setting will actually start to point out the lower you go, and this is helpful for when the truck launches cuz as the front lifts the tires won't toe in and create friction drag or bind. If you lower the t-bars and have an alignment done, the benefit of having the toe setting pointing slightly out will be lost and even though the t-bars might be down you'll still get the dreaded IFS pigeon toe or "toe in" at the launch and while traveling down the track under throttle

removing the T-bar bolts completely will get you the lowest and some guys even cut the jounce bumps on the LCA to get even lower, the lower you go the less lift/weight transfer you get to the rear and you'll receive better contact/traction to the front tires with less chance of wheel hop.

it was mentioned that you can also run the rear leaf pack clamped, but I always thought that was a sled puller thing:dontknow:

looks like that was a pretty clean run, nice:thumb:
I'd start with some QA1 double adjustable rear shocks and a set of cal tracs, maybe down the road get a set of slicks or depending on what the daily duties of the truck are just run some cheater slicks and see what that will accomplish.

you still running the emissions crap? cuz I noticed a pretty nice increase of throttle response from a complete EGR delete with the 3" IC cold side tube, that could help your overall ET not sure if it'd help the 60' time all that much:cool:

I do take the bolts out so it is as low as it will go, I have the EGR blocked and shut off but still intact. I plan on a SDP EGR delete and then possibly twins down the road.

Yes.

3000Us, 28* of timing, if your still trapping 101mph and going 13.0 you have other problems assuming tuning is 100% smooth. I wouldn't worry about drag radials or front end parts yet as your truck can 60 good enough for 12's without a doubt, I'd concentrate on getting more power of the truck. :thumb:

With your exact 60', (1.74) I ran 8.001 in the 1/8th and a 12.71 @ 106 in my LBZ with stock injector/turbo/cp3. It's possible, you just flat out need more horsetorque :D

But say I dial in a 13.0 and have a .1 rt and someone else dials in a 13.0 and has a .5 rt wouldn't he run a 13.5 and I run a 13.1?
Time doesn't start until you break the beam leaving. You can sit there for 5 seconds its going to show what the truck actually ran once you left then a 5 sec. reaction time, but your going to lose by 5 seconds.

So I installed Rancho 9000xl shocks all the way around and made some spring clamps, and also looking into more horsetorque:D Going to the track Saturday for the second bracket race of the season, anyone have any advice on starting settings for the shocks?

Did better at the track, the wife got the truck into the 12's with a 12.95@102mph. Her 60' is consistently around 1.7, she was leaving the line at 12psi and the truck was hooking well, going down to the test and tune on Wednesday to try some things out and do some data logging.

Here is a video of the rear end on the 12.95 pass, I will get videos of the front end up soon.

Here is another of the rear with a 12psi boosted launch.

And one of the front.
