Sushi is very good when prepared right! I eat it 1-2 times a week, plus its loaded w/ protein and healthy fats. Good for growing boys!:D

For those who don't know, sushi is a sticky-rice roll filled with various ingredients. Not all of it is raw fish; some is, some isn't.

Sashimi is the raw fish pieces. Tuna is red to purple, and is VERY tasty. And expensive. The kind of fresh fish they use for sashimi is normally very high quality, hence the price.

I had abalone and sea slug the other day. Pretty good, but too dang expensive.

Raw oysters are also very good, and make your pecker so hard a cat can't scratch it.

I like some of the cooked ones... went somewhere one time that had a roll called KFC. As you might imagine, it had fried chicken in it. It was yummy.

Seafood, in general, is probably my favorite of all. ESPECIALLY, pan fish (blue gill, crappie, etc.) good catfish, halabet, grouper, snapping turtle, frog legs and shrimp!! Crab meat is good too. Been a while since I've had lobster but if I were gamblin man, I'd say I would like it. Calamari is yummo! Just like pretty much all of it. They are just sooo yummy. Even the tuna Chris speaks of can be really good. Key is it HAS to be fresh though!! ;)

I say go for it. I used to be real bad about trying new foods. Not so much anymore. I'm developing my pallet.

Hamachi (yellowtail), Toro (fatty tuna from the belly), and Uni (sea urchin) are my favorites.

Mackerel has a very strong fishy taste because it's oily. Not good for a first timer.

California roll, Tuna Roll, salmon skin roll is good too.

Good luck.

I took our shop out to lunch one day to a Korean restraurant.

I told a new guy that the green stuff (wasabi) was avocado paste, and it was very good.

His eyes nearly bulged out of his head after putting a tablespoon worth on an appetizer.
