Okay guys need your help... Im stumped and dealership cant figure it out. I have a sunroof and once and a while it will leak but not all the time. I cleared the drains out with my air compressor and the dealer said they did the same thing, they leak tested it for 2 days with no luck. when it does happen it will drip down my A pillar into my fuse block in the cab and pool up in the door sill or it will just soak my headliner right above drivers side seat and its only on the drivers side the leak happens. Getting frustrated so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance all

Did they actually pull the headliner down and make sure the drain tubes are connected ?

Also the drain tubes, if not pitched properly can cause leaks as well as the water will not flow properly, especially if the truck is not sitting in a way that will allow the water to drain.

There is plenty of info online with respect to the layout and routing of the drains.

Also do you have CAB light and or the Shark Fin Antenna ?

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately they didnt pull the liner down i can always pull down myself and take a look. Yes the truck has cab lights and shark fin. I didnt think ot was either of those just because of where the water soaks the. Headliner and how it flows down the pilar but i guess anything is possible. It wont leak all the time just seems like it does it when it rains pretty hard but even then it wont do it every time

GMC_2002 got it right. Those are slip fit tubes and one or more may be off the nipple. Might be able to look with one of the small inspection cameras. Pull the trim moldings and pull the head liner down and have a look.
I repaired one last month.

Alright ill check them out. Lets say there still connected where should i look next? Tried google but all it i could find was links to other forums of people who had the same problem. A few said that the drains arent capable of a heavy flow of water so it will spill out over the frame of the sunroof, if thats the case that's unacceptable and there must be a solution

Duct Tape is your friend then.........:roflmao:

Seriously, the issue is almost always either the drain tubes fell off or are leaking at the tube to the catch tray or they are not pitched correctly.

Honestly you could have blown it off the nipple using compressed air.

Its a POS Set-up, I always bought trucks without cab lights and a sunroof just for the reason I did not want any holes in the roof and leaks.

But my 2012 Denali has a sunroof and it had a tube that fell off, so I think your dealer did not do its job, its easy to drop it and fix it.

Mine was the passenger side "A" Pillar that leaked as you described yours leaking

Good Luck
