Thinking about buying a stage 5 suncoast built tranny byJoe Riemer. Also has a 1058 converter. Was curious if anyone has heard of this builder and how this tranny and torque converter will work on a truck with a stock turbo and if i can still tow a trailer with it every once in awhile and how well it is for a dd. Thanks

What he said. I run a 1058 and it works but it leave alot to be desired. If I were a rich man I'd be getting ahold of evan to get a different one

I run the MLG converter with stock turbo etc (see signature) and my buddy James runs the exact same one in his twin s480 over batmowheeled-stock @ 850ish wheel and he loves it also. It seems to be a very versatile converter....

Yea im asking because im running a 1058 with that turbo and my convertor knowledge isn't the best. I feel like my truck is sort of sluggish then what i thought it would be after my turbo install. Wasn't sure if it was my tuning, lack of fuel (stock co3 and sticks) or the convertor??

Get ahold of evan. He can get you the right converter for that turbo

Go figure. Just had this trans out and just put it back in. If i recall correctly when j bought this trans j sent the 1053 back to them and exchanged for the 1058 because thats what they recommended. I told them id be putting this big single on too

converter isnt just based off turbo, there are other factors to consider as well. getting ahold of the professional trans builders we have on this site would be your best bet in getting the right one for your truck
